Before You Start
This page is designed to help you discover, compare and tweak your
internet connection. When you click the image or link bellow a new
window will popup which will begin internet speed test. It may take a
few minutes to complete the test and during this time avoid using the
internet with other programs.
This DSL speed test will work best if you have
broadband internet. If you
are on a dial-up
connection, you just need to let the test run through completely, as it
may take a few minutes depending on the speed of your connection.
Measurement Explanation
Depending on your download speed, the online bandwidth test will display
your speed as either Mbps or kbps. These are both in bits, and not
bytes. Bellow your bandwidth reading is the text: "which means you can
download at 100.00 KB/sec" Where 100.00kbps will be your speed
and is the actual amount of data that can be download per second.
You are now ready the start the download speed test.
